FriendlyFossil was founded in 2017 when Josh cut the first T-Rex for his son Elon using a small homemade CNC router in their Wisconsin garage.
With encouragement from his wife Laura, Josh put his creations up for sale on Etsy, never imagining where it would lead. What started as a labor of love for his son quickly became a passion that resonated with families everywhere.
FriendlyFossil has grown faster than they could have hoped. Today, the small homemade router has been replaced with multiple large industrial-grade CNC machines, and Josh's giant 3D dinosaur puzzles are now on display at zoos, natural history museums, and university departments across the USA.
